Purdue Band & Orchestra Alumni Club

We are late with this year’s elections… but we finally finished talking with several candidates who have indicated their desire to become a member of the Board of Directors for your club.  (If you would be interested in being a member in the future, please get in touch with us.)

The Bylaws of PBOAC provide for the present Board to offer a slate of candidates for your approval each year for the terms that are expiring.  The recommended slate this year consists of two candidates as Board Members (with terms to expire Fall, 2015):

Jessica Piper…Jessica (Jess) was a Golduster from Fall 1999 – Spring 2003.  Upon graduating with her first degree, Jess worked for the Department of Bands while she finished her 2nd degree at Purdue.  Jess assisted with many office duties, served as a visiting band hostess and traveled with the band.  As a Duster Alumni she’s still active with the current team.  Jess loves being an AAMB & Golduster Alumni.

Richard Laster…Current PBOAC Treasurer, Charter Member and Club Founder, Class of 1968, Drum Major, former Gamma Pi Alumni Club Board Chairman, has been active with training of drum majors during band camps for many years.  Loyal band supporter has raised monies for the AAMB and has followed the AAMB to many performance venues.

Around $2,500 was made from the silent auction on Homecoming Friday night which was a good down payment. Only 90% to go. We need $25,000 to fund the endowment.
