Congrats to the Boilermakers on a big win at the Kohl Center yesterday! In the Bay Area, we’re planning a Game Watch for the Big Ten Tournament on March 17th. As times are yet to be announced, please stay tuned for details.  In the meantime, mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 9 as we will be joining fellow Boilermakers in a service project at the San Francisco Food Bank. Let’s show our Purdue pride by helping this worthwhile cause which directly benefits the less fortunate in our community.

Metamaterials (MMs) are artificial materials with versatile properties that can be tailored to fit almost any practical need and thus go beyond what can be obtained with “natural” materials. In this talk, we will address the critical need in the emerging field of metamaterials to overcome limitations associated with the use of metals as constituent materials. We will explore a new approach for the realization of MM devices and replacing metals with new plasmonic materials. Here, we will discuss ceramic materials as potential candidates for MM constituent materials. Employing these materials could unlock the full potential of MMs for applications in optical and opto-electronic systems, nanoscale imaging, renewable energy, lithography-based nanofabrication, data storage, quantum information technology, and biomedical technologies.

Join as the Final Final as Purdue takes on Oklahoma State in the Heart of Dallas Bowl in what many are predicting to be a shootout with two high powered offenses (and not very good defenses). We’ll be bringing the Boilermaker spirit bright and early (and maybe still ringing in the New Year) at 9AM PST. Boiler Up!

This will be a fun one folks! While the Boilermakers have had a less than stellar season, we can go root them on at an Iowa bar with fellow Iowa fans. We just might be rooting for the same team..see you all bright and early at 9AM on Saturday 11/10 at Final Final (2990 Baker St., San Francisco).

The Boilermakers look to snap a five-game losing streak … Purdue visits Kinnick Stadium for the first time since the 2008 season … The Boilermakers will vie for their first victory at Kinnick Stadium in 20 years. Purdue’s last win in Iowa City came in 1992 … Robert Marve will get his third start of the season and his seventh at Purdue on Saturday … Antavian Edison attempts to extend his streak to 31 consecutive games with a reception.
