Greater Boston

The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston supports alumni activities for the geographical areas of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.  There are over 4,000 Purdue alumni living in this region.  Most of the club-sponsored activities are located in the Greater Boston vicinity.  The club has been recognized by the Purdue Alumni Association with a “Gold” status rating for the past 10 years.

Membership/Networking

The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston club dues are free if you are a member of the Purdue Alumni Association.  Connecting with other Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston members can be done through the Facebook networking website.

Purdue Alumni has a professional and social network called “Brazen.” All alumni are invited to join and network with each other.  You can also join the Purdue Alumni group on LinkedIn or be a follower of Purdue Alumni on Twitter.

Activities

The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston club has multiple activities planned throughout the year, some with just our club and some with the clubs of the Big Ten.  Some of the events include the Annual Student/Alumni Picnic, Annual Dinner, the Big Ten Holiday Party, monthly Big Ten Happy Hour gatherings, and of course Purdue football and basketball Game Watches!  Our current game watch venue is at Tony C's at Assembly Square.

Purdue Alumni Recruiting for Tomorrow (PART)

The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston club participates in the PART (Purdue Alumni Recruiting for Tomorrow) program.  PART is a partnership between the Office of Admissions and the Purdue Alumni Association which alumni volunteers promote Purdue University at college fairs.

Community Service

The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston club takes part in at least one community service event each year.  Recent volunteer events include working at the Greater Boston Food Bank and walking in the Hike for Hope which benefits the Lazarus House in Lawrence, MA, and working at Cradles to Crayons in Brighton, MA.

Scholarship

The Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston is proud to announce our annual scholarship program for current/incoming Purdue students from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, or Maine. The scholarships are provided by Purdue alumni and friends who have generously donated to support the next generation of Boilermakers in the Purdue Alumni Club of Greater Boston’s geographical area.

Applications are due by March 15, 2020, and will be awarded on or before May 1, 2020, for the 2020–2021 academic year.
