Mayan Exploration

Turtle in waterImmerse yourself in the history and culture of Mexico on this exciting land-and-sea program aboard the M/V Victory II. Fly into Cancún and transfer to Puerto Morales. The next day, venture via private motor coach to Tulum, the site of an ancient Mayan walled city overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Discover its temples and enjoy lunch on the beach before traveling to Xcaret.

In Valladolid, witness the largest collection of folk art in Mexico and explore the Hacienda Selva Maya and its beautiful cenote, a naturally occurring limestone pool. Experience a sound-and-light show at Chichén Itzá. In the morning, wake early to watch the sun rise over Chichén Itzá, then spend the day exploring the complex of ancient Mayan ruins and artifacts dating back to 600 AD.

Travel to Campeche, a UNESCO-listed city, and tour the city via trolley, then see a Panama hat demonstration and pay a visit to the Archaeological Museum to see the famous jade mask excavated from Calakmul. In the evening, watch a private folkloric ballet performance at the Teatro Toro. We’ll transfer to Cancún for your return flight home after exploring Mérida, the modern capital of the Yucatán.
