Here are some ways you can contribute to the Scholarship Fund for 2013:

1) Be a Hole Sponsor at the Golf Outing & play golf in the outing.
2) You can make a contribution to Purdue Alumni  Club of Marshall County by mailing a check to Melissa Christiansen 14487 Crest Lane, Plymouth, IN 46563.
3) You can also make a direct donation to the Marshall County Community Foundation Purdue Alumni Club account.

Your continued support of scholarships allow students from Marshall County students to focus on being successful instead of worrying about funds.

Experience the 3rd Annual Tailgate before the Purdue vs. Northern Illinois game (Family Day)

Location: Ross-Ade Stadium, North Lot, 1st Row

Time:  Game time has not been announced, but we will be gathering before the game.

Food:  We have a tailgate cook ready!  You can bring a dish to share or just come! Plates, Napkins, and Drinks provided.

What: The Annual Purdue Club of Marshall County Picnic

When: Sunday, July 28th, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Where: Plymouth Centennial Park – at the Horse Barn, located near the covered bridge, watch for the Purdue tent and Purdue Marshall County Alumni Club signage.

Door Prizes: For Purdue students

Food:   The main dish and drinks will be provided. Bring a dish to share.

The highlight for students is being able to meet other Purdue students from Marshall County.  You can also learn how to be successful from the Purdue alums!!  Good Purdue fun with Good Purdue family!  Boiler Up!

Scholarship checks will be handed out at the picnic.  Marshall County Community Foundation has requested a picture of the Perkins scholarship winners. We are planning on taking a picture of all of the scholarship winners at the picnic.  Please bring your smile!

For current Purdue students, scholarship applications are online at www.marshallcountycf.org. The application deadline for this year is May 31, 2013.

The application can be downloaded from the resource tab. Scholarships will be given for current Purdue students and for incoming freshmen.  We look forward to distributing around $59,000.00.  May your grades be good and your essays interesting!

Current Purdue student transcripts should include the spring semester 2013 grades.  Your scholarship forms can be turned in now with the transcript to follow.

The Samuel Elliott Perkins IV Memorial Scholarship winners for the incoming freshmen have been selected and will be presented at each of the awards day programs.  Thank you to Patti Kitch, Natalie Brookins, Dr. Rob Holl, April Leeper, Dave Hogsett, and Karen Schlosser for taking time to review the applications.

The 2013 Annual Dinner will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Christo’s Banquet Center. Our scheduled guest speaker is Jay Gephardt. Jay is the director of the  Purdue “All-American” Marching Band & the Purdue University Wind Ensemble.  Jay’s storied career is detailed at: http://www.purdue.edu/bands/dept/staff/gephart.html.

Social time begins at 6:00.
Dinner is at 6:30.
Dr. Gephardt begins his presentation at 7:00.

Cost for students (including college students): $10
Non-student cost: $25
Dinner will be the wonderful Christo’s chicken buffet.

Members are encouraged to ask students who may be interested in attending Purdue University (especially band students) to join us for an enjoyable evening.

The Purdue Spring Football Game is scheduled for April 13, 2013 at 1:00. This is an open invitation to prospective Purdue students to join members of the Purdue Alumni Club of Marshall County as we travel down to the game. If you or a student you know are interested in joining us, please contact Tammy Houin via email (tammy@houinfamily.com) by midnight on April 6, 2013 so we can make transportation arrangements.

Have you ever spent time watching the Purdue Golden Girl and the other fantastic twirlers at Purdue football games? Well this is your chance to help young ladies in this community learn from our Boiler best!

The Purdue Club of Marshall County annually supports the Purdue Twirling Clinic by providing and serving food and drinks during the event. We are looking for donations of food (cookies, brownies, other snacks) or drinks (juice, water, others) for the 2012 clinic.

Volunteers to serve the food and drinks are also needed. Please contact Tammy Houin or Karen Schlosser to volunteer, provide food, or to ask any questions.

Are you tied up on October 14th or cannot cook? Well then a $50 or $100 donation gets your name on the back of the T-Shirt given to all twirling clinic participants!

The Twirling Clinic will be held at the Plymouth Lincoln Junior High School from 12:30-3:30. At 3:30 come out and watch the amazing twirlers AND get your picture taken with the Purdue Golden Girl!!
